Applications open May 1 

The GraceKennedy Foundation will, on May 1, open the period for scholarship applications for local university students for the 2020/21 academic year. The period closes on July 15, 2020. Over J$20 million in scholarships will be provided.

“Financing tertiary education is an increasing struggle for many university students, and the GraceKennedy Foundation is dedicated to supporting students in this area as part of our long-standing commitment to education.  Many of the students who receive our scholarships are exceptional, but they cannot find the funds to attend university. Investing in these brilliant, young people is an investment into Jamaica’s future, and we are so proud to be able to support them on their journey,” stated Mrs Caroline Mahfood, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.

This year, the GraceKennedy Foundation will offer scholarships to students attending The University of the West Indies, the University of Technology Jamaica, the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, and the Caribbean Maritime University. All scholarship recipients who maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and adhere to the requirements of the volunteer component of the Scholarship Programme, will have their scholarship renewed until the completion their degree.
