Volunteerism is an integral component of the work that is done by Grace & Staff. The management and staff of the GraceKennedy Group provide a variety of services to the Foundation’s clientele on a voluntary basis. GK employees teach primary and secondary level students in after-school classes at the six homework centres islandwide. They also do one-on-one tutoring. Mentoring, coaching and professional shadowing are some of the other ways in which GK employees make their contribution in positively changing lives thereby improving the communities in which we operate.
The Grace & Staff Community Development Foundation serves to foster a spirit of volunteerism not only within the GK Group but through the solicitation of external participation as well. Our friends from other corporate companies and from within the communities we serve support our many programmes through their commitment to tutor, lend a hand on projects and make useful presentations to our students.
