“We wanted to create a faster and more convenient channel for new and existing customers to access our services, without having to go into the traditional branch. First Global Money Link will allow persons to do most of their usual banking transactions in locations they already frequent. We are very pleased to collaborate with retail partners across the island by leveraging their locations, as together we are offering more options for the wider public, with even more to come” said Mariame McIntosh Robinson, President and CEO, First Global Bank.
The first two First Global Money Link locations will be in Beadle Plaza, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, and inside State Mall, Cross Roads in Kingston. The Cross Roads location will be opened Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4pm while the Santa Cruz location will be opened 9am to 3pm. First Global Money Link will be staffed with FGB team members delivering services such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, account balances, amongst other normal banking transactions.
To launch this new service, for the months August through October, customers who open new accounts at these locations will be entered in the ‘Double Dollaz’ promotion, where every two weeks, a customer stands a chance to win double their account balance, up to a maximum of $10,000.
This initiative continues FGB’s drive to deliver convenience to its customers and the wider public. The Bank has been expanding its physical and virtual reach across the island including the new Ocho Rios branch (opened in 2016) and new Video Teller Machines (VTMs) located inside the Liguanea, Manor Park and Ocho Rios Branches. FGB is the first in the Caribbean to introduce VTMs (intelligent ATMs) that allow customers to connect with a remote teller in a highly personalised, two-way audio/video interaction. First Global Money Link will be rolling out additional locations over the next few months.
