The successful incumbents will report to the Operations Manager in the respective areas and should possess the following:

• Guide efforts to ensure reliability of equipment and maintain processes, utilities, facilities, control loops and safety/security systems
• Complete RFA (Request for Appropriation) for Capital Improvement Projects
• Communicate effectively with Production, Quality Assurance and other department to improve equipment capabilities and line layouts to achieve maximum outputs
• Perform duties aimed at reducing line operating costs or inventory, or at increasing productivity and product quality
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, the Factory’s Act of Jamaica, food processing regulations and the Company’s quality and safety procedures
• Assist with the preparation and management of departmental budgets and the company’s strategic plans
• Design, implement and coordinate preventative maintenance systems
• Consistent performance management and staff development

• B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience with at least (2) years at the middle management level (preferably in a manufacturing company)
• Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff
• Excellent leadership, planning and project management skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Strong quality and safety commitment
• Unquestionable integrity
• Flexible and able to work under pressure
• High level of hands on technical experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers, automation, and electrical systems.
