GraceKennedy Ltd., as well as its subsidiary, First Global Financial Services Limited, were winners of awards at the Jamaica Stock Exchange Best Practices Awards 2010 ceremony held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on December 7, 2011.

GraceKennedy Limited was first runner up in the Corporate Disclosure & Investor Relations category for listed companies. The first place winner in that category was Pan Caribbean, while NCB was second runner up.

First Global Financial Service Limited (FGFS) received the top award for Best Website (Member/Dealer). Stocks & Securities Limited was first runner up while Capital and Credit Securities Limited was second runner up.

On hand to receive the award on behalf of GraceKennedy Ltd. was Chief Corporate Secretary/Senior Legal Counsel, Karen Chin Quee Akin. FGFS’s award was received by its President, Robert Drummond.

The JSE Awards were established in 2004 by the Jamaica Stock Exchange. The Awards aim to provide an avenue to recognize listed companies and stockbrokers in the securities industry which uphold best practices standards; enhance the relationship between the JSE and its stakeholders; and create awareness of the standards for best practices in the areas in which companies are judged.
