1. How many cans of Grace corned beef are affected by the recall?
   A. Based on the advice received by our supplier the two affected batch codes 100204, and 100205 include 1844 cases of corned beef, or 22,000 cans.
   
   
2. How widely was the product distributed?
   A. The product was distributed to wholesale suppliers and supermarkets primarily in the New York Tri State area. We are not sure at this point exactly how far it may have gone beyond the Tri-State hence our reason for issuing a US-wide press release.
   
   
3. Is it only Grace Corned Beef that has been affected?
   A. Grace Foods is part of a wider recall in the USA. Other companies with affected batches of corned beef from this supplier have also initiated a Class 2 recall of the relevant batch codes.
   
   
4. What is a Class 2 Recall?
   A. A Class II recall signifies that there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.
   
   
5. Have you received any reports of illness?
   A. We have not.
   
   
6. Who is the Brazilian supplier of the product?
   A. JBS SA from Sao Paulo Brazil
   
   
7. What is the procedure for customers wishing to return product?
   A. The cans bearing batch codes 100204 or 100205 should be returned to the retailer from which they were purchased.
   
   
8. What if the can says 337 SIF but has another code?
   A. The imprint 337 SIF identifies the manufacturing plant. Most of the corned beef exported from Brazil will bear that imprint. However we have been advised that only the codes mentioned i.e. 100204 and 100205 are being recalled.
   
   
9. Has this product been distributed in other markets?
   A. We know specifically that it went to the USA and we have not been informed by the supplier that it went elsewhere.
