As part of its ongoing thrust to inform Jamaicans about the most important aspects of money management, First Global Bank (FGB) today announced its intent to host a special Dollars & ‘Sense’ (Seminar) Week, which is a virtually week-long series of seminars, starting with a corporate breakfast forum in Kingston.
GraceKennedy Limited will make a dividend payment on May 27, 2008 of 50 cents per stock unit, or a total of $163 million to stockholders on record as at May 5, 2008. The Company's Register of Members will be closed from the close of business on May 5, 2008 to May 9, 2008.
This was disclosed by the company's Chief Financial Officer, Fay McIntosh, following a meeting of the Board of Directors held on March 20, 2008.
This compares to a dividend payment of $147 million in May 2007, an increase of 11%.

Applications are now being invited for The GraceKennedy/ Jamaica Scholarship, tenable at the University of the West Indies. The scholarship is open to students who have or will be taking subjects in CAPE UNIT 2 or A Levels.
Application forms are available at the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Unit, and these should be completed and returned no later than March 27, 2008.
