Versair In-Flite Services Limited and Industrial Catering Services Limited Merge Operations

Local airline caterers, Versair In-Flite Services Limited, and Industrial Catering Services Limited, an institutional catering services provider, have merged their operations under a single company, Versair In-Flite Services (2006) Limited. The merger became effective on December 15, 2006.

Both companies are being voluntarily wound-up to facilitate the transfer of all their assets and liabilities, and all other aspects of their businesses to the new company, Versair In-Flite Services (2006) Limited.

General Manager, Barry Byrne said that, in addition to the efficiencies to be realized from bringing the businesses under one umbrella, the merger would strengthen the new company to allow it to pursue opportunities across the region.

Versair In-Flite Services is a joint venture of GraceKennedy Limited, Goddard Enterprises Limited of Barbados, and LSG SkyChefs, and has been in operation since 1981.   The company provides meals for airlines with flights originating out of Kingston and Montego Bay, including Air Jamaica, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, BWIA, and Continental, as well as many other airlines.

Industrial Catering Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Versair, provides catering services to local hospitals, factories, schools, and other institutions.
