David Linehan Profile
David Linehan, MA, FCII, Chartered Insurer has 48 years experience in the Insurance Industry acquired in the U.K., Europe, the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Caribbean.
He has experience in virtually all branches of insurance and is multi-lingual, English, French, Spanish and Italian. He obtained his Masters degree in Modern Languages recently in France with a thesis on the gender barrier in financial services in Jamaica.
He has been in Jamaica for 20 years; for the last 11 years he has been the Technical Consultant at Allied Insurance Brokers Ltd.
Before coming to Jamaica he was the Principal of the Mediterranean Insurance Training Centre, which he developed into one of the most successful institutions of its kind, including the development of a risk management and control program for the major commercial and industrial companies, all of who had significant government shareholding.
He was formerly a successful professional cyclist and still competes in endurance events in Europe. He is an internationally qualified coach and as such assists young Jamaican riders.
He has, being a cancer survivor himself, used these endurance events to raise significant sums of money for other cancer sufferers, less fortunate than him.
