Grace Food Processors Limited
Grace Food Processors Limited (GFP) came into being in the year 1969 when GraceKennedy Limited acquired the then Western Meat Packers. At that time the company was primarily involved in the processing of fresh pork cuts for the trade. Over the years the company has grown and expanded its operations. Today it is the largest pork processing concern in Jamaica boasting a wide range of products – from sausages to cured products and restructured meats.
The factory which employs over 100 persons has the distinction of being the only facility in Jamaica with the capability to can Vienna sausages.
The company which received ISO certification in 1995 produces the popular Grace Hams, Grace chicken and pork frankfurters, and Grace Vienna sausage.
GFP supports the local farming industry, specifically, pig, escallion and pepper farmers. We are actively involved in the community in which we operate, hosting an annual community treat, among other initiatives for the children in the community.
Students have also benefited from school feeding programmes and obtaining information for projects such as School Based Assessments as well as participation in the Work Experience Programme.
