First Global Insurance Brokers Ltd. began operations in October 2008 following the purchase by GraceKennedy Limited of the insurance portfolio of United Reliance International Limited (URI) of Turks & Caicos Islands, the country’s oldest general insurance broker.
In terms of premium income and client base FGIB is the largest insurance brokerage in TCI. It acts as broker for Jamaica International Insurance Company Limited of Jamaica, and Guardian General Insurance Limited (formerly NEMWIL) of Trinidad & Tobago. The company also underwrites health insurance on behalf of Guardian Life T&T.
FGIB is a vibrant member of the TCI business community and is a member of the TCI Chamber of Commerce, and the TCI Insurance Association.
