Don Wehby, Chief Financial Officer of GraceKennedy Limited, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of HiLo Food Stores (Ja.) Ltd. Mr. Wehby succeeds Peter Moss-Solomon who has held that position since May 1998.

Other new appointees to the Board are Mrs. Zein Nakash, Vice President, Marketing of SuperClubs Ltd.; Gary Hendrickson, Managing Director of Continental Baking Company Ltd.; Consultant Dwight Richardson; and Woodrow Foster, Managing Director of Foster's Food Fair in Cayman.

John Mahfood, Acting Executive Director of HiLo Food Stores and Chief Operating Officer of GraceKennedy Limited's Retail & Trading Division said the appointments were in keeping with plans to strengthen the board of the GraceKennedy-owned retail chain by bringing in a number of external directors.

Since 2004, HiLo has been undertaking expansion and renovation of its store network, completely renovating its Manor Park outlet, and opening new stores in Mandeville, Ocho Rios, and Port Maria.
