First Global Financial Services Hosts Information Exchanges


First Global Financial Services held the first in its series of quarterly Information Exchanges for 2006 on February 23, 2006.

The focus of this investment seminar series is to identify for clients and guests, the potential investment opportunities in 2006 within the context of the investment climate of the local, regional and global markets. These opportunities were highlighted, identifying the potential risks present within these markets with the aim of assisting investors to make investment decisions recognizing the risks involved.

Dean McDonald, Assistant Vice President - Economic Analysis and Research for First Global Financial Services and Moderator, placed the investment seminar in perspective with his comments. He noted that the professional advice given to clients leading to each transaction was as important as the investment decision made, and ultimately would impact the overall returns of the client's investment. He stated that to be a true full service broker and to distinguish itself from other brokers, FGFS had to offer clients and potential clients' advice on investment strategies, research and news in a timely and efficient way. The First Global Information Exchange was yet another step towards fulfilling this mandate.

This quarter's Information Exchange featured as its main speakers, Dr. Carl Ross of Bear Stearns, Ian Narine of Republic Securities of Trinidad and Tobago, and Dennis Morrison, Economist and Chief Technical Director in the Development Unit in the Cabinet Office, Jamaica.
