First Global has joined with the Jamaica Cancer Society/Pauline Brown Fund to raise in excess of $2.5 Million in the fight against cancer.

As part of its fund-raising efforts, First Global will host a Celebrity Teapot and Art Auction on Sunday March 26, 2006 at the Mona Visitors Lodge at 4 p.m. The evening will feature the auction hand painted teapots endorsed by International celebrities, business personalities and national leaders as well as donated art pieces by renown Jamaican artists.

Contributors to the effort in the form of art pieces from their personal collection include Her Excellency the Most Honourable Rheima Hall, the Honourable Portia Simpson-Miller, the Honourable Peter Phillips, Honourable Edward Seaga, the Honourable Herb McKinley, O.M., Monseigneur Richard Albert, the Honourable Oliver Clarke, O.J.; Sean Paul Henriques a.k.a. Sean Paul and Orville Richard Burrell a.k.a. Shaggy. The auction will include pieces by a variety of artists and photographers including Heather Sutherland Wade, Rachel Wade, Tiffany Recas, Marigold Harding, Jack Allen, Byron Allen, Errol Moo Young, Patrick Waldemar, Carolyn Nevin (Canada), Tony Wong, Jeremy Francis and Franz Marzouca.

The Pauline Brown Fund was established in June 2004 in honour of a breast cancer survivor and an active member of the Jamaica Cancer Society and Reach to Recovery. Her victory has inspired the First Global Group to place its support firmly behind this fundraising effort.

Tickets for the event are on sale at the First Global Bank offices in New Kingston and Manor Park.
