David Hall Appointed Chief Internal Auditor

 

Douglas Orane, Chairman and CEO, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Hall to the position of Chief Internal Auditor effective January 21, 2008.

Mr. Hall brings to GraceKennedy a wealth of professional experience gained locally and internationally in key areas such as audit reviews, assessing business risks, corporate governance, operational management, financial management, business/strategic planning and change management.  In addition to the various executive roles that he has held throughout his career, He has worked as an IT Specialist with a number of leading financial institutions and as an Auditor at Cable & Wireless International, where he had responsibility for the Caribbean, Panama, USA and Group IT responsibility, including UK and Europe.  He has recently led the restructuring of the Regional Internal Audit function towards providing value added service in a highly competitive environment  Prior to his departure from Cable & Wireless, he held the position of Chief Internal Auditor.    

He holds membership with professional bodies such as the Kiwanis Club of Kingston; Information System Audit and Control Association, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.  He recently sat on the Education Committee of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and is the current chairman of the Herrick Early Childhood Institute.  He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

In his pursuit of excellence in his chosen profession, Mr. Hall has pursued a number of educational programmes including Cable & Wireless Global Business Management at Insead Euro-Asia Centre in France; Operational Change Management at Harvard Business School, and a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

The addition of Mr. Hall’s strengths and competences will augur well for the company as we seek to achieve the vision of becoming a global consumer group.
