Joseph Esau was appointed a director of GraceKennedy Ltd. on November 30, 2006.
A former Group CEO of McEarney Alstons Ltd. (now ANSA McAL Group), Mr. Esau has also held senior positions in several international and regional companies.
He currently serves as Chairman of Prestige Holdings Limited (T&T), and Kentucky Foods Group Limited (Dominican Republic). He is a founding director of Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business (UWI, St. Augustine); and a member of the Advisory Board of Habitat for Humanity,
Trinidad & Tobago.
Mr. Esau has led or consulted on several projects involving capital reorganization and new investment. He negotiated the acquisition of the Trinidad KFC and Pizza Hut businesses from PEPSICO, and led the company to more than double its size three years after the acquisition. He advised on the establishment of Payless ShoeSource in Trinidad, through a partnership with Payless ShoeSource Inc., and on the establishment of the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, through a partnership with the Promerica Group (Central America).
