Gordon K.G. Sharp
Director

 

Gordon Sharp is Chairman of Trout Hall Ltd, an agricultural and export trading company based in May Pen, Clarendon.

Mr. Sharp started his career at Alcan Canada at its alumina smelting operations at Arvida in 1960. He returned to Jamaica in 1965 when he joined the Citrus Company of Jamaica Ltd. in May Pen, as an engineer. He was promoted through the ranks to positions including Overseas Marketing Manager, Managing Director, and finally as Chairman, until his resignation in 1986.

Mr. Sharp has been a director of GraceKennedy Limited. since 1976. He is a Founding Member for both the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) and the Jamaica Institute of Management (JIM). He has served as Chairman of the Coffee Industry Board from 1981 to 1985.

He received a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1963 and his Master of Business Administration from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, U.S.A. in 1965.
