GraceKennedy is one of the Caribbean's largest and most dynamic corporate entities. The company started in Jamaica in 1922 as a small trading establishment and wharf founders. It has expanded and diversified over the years, changing from a privately-owned enterprise to a public company listed on the stock exchanges of Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. Today, the GraceKennedy Group comprises a varied network of some 60 subsidiaries and associated companies located across the Caribbean and in North and Central America and the United Kingdom. In 1995, GraceKennedy developed its 2020 Vision, our objective being to transform ourselves from a Jamaican trading company to a global consumer group with our roots in Jamaica. After thirteen years on this journey, the company is substantially larger and stronger, measured by our growth in revenues, productivity, profits and market value.
GraceKennedy’s revenues in 2006 were JA$36.1 billion compared to JA$10.77 billion in 1995 an increase of 235% Our profits attributable to stockholders were JA$1,845.0 million in 2006 compared to JA$373.0 million in 1995, an increase of 395% Our market value at the end of 2006 was JA$20.82 billion, compared to JA$1.29 billion in 1995, an increase of over 1500%
