COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP & CAPACITY BUILDING

Pursuing its philosophy of helping communities to help themselves, the Foundation, through its community field officers, undertakes training and other support activities ‘aimed at developing the skills of community leaders in such areas as peace building and group dynamics.

One of the most longstanding organizations initiated by residents of Central Kingston is Parents of Inner City Kids (PICK). PICK was established to provide an opportunity for the promotion of parenting education programmes, and to facilitate the development of the lives of parents within the community.
